Please be aware folks that none of the DJs billed for today and tonight at Kanteena in Lancaster are performing other than the promoter.

I was flatly told the day before yesterday by the owner that he was not going to pay my fee, which was a half price deal I gave them, in what felt very much like a ploy at the 11th hour to pay even less.

I've since received 4 messages from locals that this is his modus operandi. Pablo Aguilar is well known as a non-payer.

This falls under 'of public interest' to my peers and as such I will be following this up and warning people, as ever, of folks in the industry to be avoided.

Insist on the industry standard of being paid in full up front. If a venue says it can't afford it ask them how they are paying their other suppliers and staff.

Value yourself and what you do, because if you do not, no one else will.
