Today marks the end of my orthopaedic rotation. I’m so thankful for the experience and skills I have learnt entering the role as a brand new qualified OT.
But more than anything, I will miss the kindness of the therapy team and ward staff. Thank you for being so welcoming💓
Can we STOP talking about “essential” and “non-essential” #NHS workers. We are ALL essential & contribute to delivering great care. Our #COVIDー19 preparations rely on doctors, nurses, carers, therapists, administrators, managers, cleaners, caterers etc. We are all important!
Occupational balance is so important for both our services users and us as practitioners.
Today me and my boyfriend baked vegan banana bread. It was the most perfect way to restore balance ready for a challenging week ahead💚
We’ve sent a letter to Matt Hancock about lack of PPE for AHPs on the frontline and in social care, along with @theCSP@ParamedicsUK@SCoRMembers@RCSLT and 7 other @AHPbodies. The safety and wellbeing of AHPs needs to be a top priority https://t.co/konjwL7hA9
As an OT, we don’t often get the opportunity to work in ITU/HDU. So out of something not so lovely, a great opportunity has arose upskill and help those when they need it most💚
