@shivchow I don’t think so. There is much alliteration and assonance throughout. I suppose those d sounds could add an authority to the couplet, but I really am not sure there’s any more.
stanza 1 is straightforward language - establishes the conditional list: if you can.... if you can....if you can... the colon ending to the stanza indicates that more is to come -more that will shed light on what has been said thus far.
