The @Conservatives have completely transformed our school standards since 2010 👇
📈 89% of schools are now rated good or outstanding, up from 68% under Labour.
🚀 Our children have rocketed up the international league tables.
🧵Labour would reverse all this progress 👇

Labour are requesting to increase Council tax by 10% both this year and next! That's a 77% rise, or on average £855, in Council tax under Labour since 2012.
For 6/7 years I’ve been Mayor we’ve exceeded our housing targets, including👇🏻
✅ Signed a landmark deal with L&G worth £4 BILLION
✅ Partnered with Keepmoat to build 4,000 homes
✅ Prioritised unlocking brownfield sites
✅ Announced a £200million war chest to build 12,000 homes
My request for the Mayor to take on Police & Crime Commissioner powers from May has been agreed by the Home Secretary tonight.
Crime has doubled in 8 years and our force is now in special measures. We cannot go on like this.
I’ll set out my plan of action in due course.
This is fantastic news for the region. We’ve suffered from ineffective Labour PCCs for a decade, with crime doubling under their watch while they hire nonsense Assistants and EDI tick-box directors.
And of course, an excellent day campaigning on Saturday, taking to the streets of Quinton and Harborne to hear people’s concerns following Labour driving our city to bankruptcy and our police to special measures. Thank you to all who joined us.
And a privilege as always to hear from @andy4wm about the progress he’s making at the helm of the West Midlands, securing more funding, more powers and more autonomy for our trail-blazing region. A speech peppered with humour as ever!
What a whirlwind few days for Edgbaston Conservatives! Honoured to host our Annual Dinner as Chairman on, welcoming @TomTugendhat to Edgbaston and introducing his excellent and insightful speech.
We have to use every tool at our disposal to make WM roads safer.
So we’re partnering with VivaCity to use AI to identify near misses at key junctions.
As @adamtranter says, this information will help to make roads safer.
Huge thank you to Birmingham Botanical Gardens for the invitation to experience #LuminateBirmingham - Winter Lights Trail
It's a mesmerising walk around the Gardens by night illuminated by an extraordinary light show
Tonight also showcased the launch of @BhamRoundhouse Gin, a collaboration with the Botanical Gardens on a bespoke Gin made right here in Birmingham @westsidebid
A pleasure to hear from the CEO Sara Blair-Manning who is leading a campaign to raise £9 Million in addition to £5 Million pledged by National Lottery Heritage Fund.
These funds are for the modernisation of the site including new Glass Houses and a Visitors Shop which will secure the future of the Botanical Gardens.
We cannot risk losing this iconic gem so please support the venue by visiting and keep it thriving for future generations.

At the Edgbaston @EdgConservative dinner & great to catch up with the hardworking Minister for Security @TomTugendhat and the incredible West Mids Mayor Andy Street @andy4wm who has transformed the region and of course the brilliant leader of Birmingham Conservative Group @Bobby_Alden@Conservatives
Andy is right. Under this Labour PCC, we have seen a huge spoke in crime across the constituency, with over 1000 crimes reported in a single month this summer. Time for the PCC's office to be scrapped.
Great team out campaigning in Sutton Coldfield. Overwhelming support for @andy4wm bid to incorporate the PCC role along with the Mayor's.
Why should the West Midlands be different to London & Manchester?
