@jakewg_@tomhfh@sainsburys Big Sainsburys is an exciting family trip out, Big Tesco is an assault on the senses in the shopping equivalent of the Crystal Maze.
Delighted to announce @UKOnward are partnering officially with the @Conservatives on the housing questions of the Party’s policy review.
We’ll be supporting @kevinhollinrake to come up with the best answers.
Let's make the centre-right the home of the builders again!
@Nigel_Farage wants to abolish the two-child benefit cap.
@KemiBadenoch thinks taxpayers should not have to pay for other people to have large families that they can't afford.
With whom do you agree?
Valuable time and constructive talks earlier with @Keir_Starmer discussing what matters most to the people of Wales, and the U.K.
Two governments working together for you 🏴
@10DowningStreet
A year ago today Rishi Sunak called the General Election. He warned us that Labour would put up taxes everywhere. He was right! I campaigned day in day out to keep Conservatives in and voted for them. Those that didn't? Well we did warn you!
I haven’t had this experience at all! In fact recently travelling to Europe with a pregnant companion was a wonderful experience - they couldn’t do enough to help - until we landed home and jobsworth border control made us queue as “she’s pregnant not disabled”.
You know how it goes: all you want to do is start your holiday, but you get off the plane to never-ending queues at passport control.
My deal with the EU means more Brits will be able to sail through the e-Gates instead.
Getting you to the beach sooner.
Reform are an economically left wing party, pretending to be conservative.
This isn’t a one off, their manifesto at the last GE had more unfunded spending commitments than anyone other than the hard left Greens.
People need to start seeing through the smoke & mirrors.
The problem with gaining electoral support is that people will start to ask what you would do in power. And, as we knew it would, Reform’s ‘manifesto’ doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.
The Economist estimates that the annual costs of Reform UK’s manifesto would be around £200bn and savings around £100bn. The gap would amount to a colossal fiscal shock, blowing up the deficit and straining the gilt market to its limit https://t.co/t3hhM5dKmT
Parking sensors drive me mad - I’ve never crashed into anything while parking. My car has however been scratched and dented by other less parking-capable drivers…
How about a sensor that triggers a very loud foghorn when someone is about to crash into my car? There’s an idea!
My new car beeps the whole darned time. It beeps if I open the door; if I drive through some long grass; if someone does not fasten their seatbelt.
But worst of all, it beeps when the speed limit changes on the road - EVEN IF I AM DOING LESS THAN THE NEW SPEED LIMIT!
Extraordinary exchange on Any Questions, 23 mins in. @montie: "I don't know if you saw that documentary on Channel 4 about rape gangs?" @LucyMPowell: "Oh, you want to blow that little trumpet now, do you? Let's get that dog whistle out, shall we, yeah?" https://t.co/upL4ZFdrJH
Credit where it's due. Shropshire Council has found £51m to escape bankruptcy without raising taxes or cutting services. How? By axing backroom bureaucracy and senior management.
Don't let anyone tell you that cutting expensive bureaucracies isn't a way to save money. It is.
In many ways, Macron and the Mona Lisa are very similar; smaller than expected and fail to live up to over-hyped expectations.
British tourists will pay more to visit Louvre, says Macron https://t.co/Fyi7ut1GBD
It’s a fantastic opportunity and I’m grateful for Stuart’s support for my efforts to sign more residents in Morville and the surrounding hamlets up to the voucher scheme.
I've been out with @DominicStanford recently speaking about the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme in Morville. This initiative helps community projects cover the costs of installing gigabit-ready broadband, possibly funding the entire expense.

Enjoyed a delightful evening at the Brown Clee Festive Dinner with excellent food and service at the Boyne Arms. Shared insights on Parliament and South Shropshire. Many thanks to @DominicStanford for organising it.
