For World Kindness Day, our Grade 1 students made LEGO hearts! For every Lego heart build with the #BuildToGive LEGO will donate a LEGO kit to a child in need of play this holiday season! Thank you #LEGO
@CarrieMarshall1 I read one every day, sometimes two. It is harder now that we have more 'prescripted' programs to follow, but we make sure to designate time for it because it is so important (and my favourite time of the day!).
@CarrieMarshall1 I am chiming in from Kitchener, Ontario and my favourite stories as a child were: The Monster at the End of This Book (Sesame Street), I Wish That I had Duck Feet and Marvin K. Mooney by Dr. Seuss, There's a Nightmare in My Closet by Mercer Meyer.
@CarrieMarshall1 I couldn't possibly pick just one! I love all of Jon Klassen's books; The Curious Garden by Peter Brown (favourite around Earth Day); The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires; All of Peter H. Reynolds books; Elephant & Piggie books by Mo Willems; The Wrong Book by Nick Bland
When Groh PS (@growrdsb) teacher Jennifer Haves got the idea to start a Kindness Club, never did she imagine that close to 200 students would show up for the first meeting! Read more about how the message of kindness is spreading at Groh PS.

@teachergoals While online, one student introduced us to his dog. "This is Lucy", he says, "She's almost dead". Dad very quickly pops his head into the screen, "I can assure you, she's very much alive!" I had a hard time keeping myself together on that one! I'm guessing she was a senior dog...
As our educators, students and families embark on another round of remote learning, we want to let you know that we are here for you.
It might not be easy, and there might be ups and downs, but we ask everyone for patience.
You got this!
JUST IN: Premier @fordnation has just announced that students across #Ontario will be moving to remote learning starting January 5 with a return to in-person learning on January 17. We will provide further details as they become available.
If your child brought home a box of rapid tests from school and you need to figure out how and when to use them, here is a slide deck with a video and clear instructions (with pictures) in English, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Somali, Spanish, and Chinese. https://t.co/ClblNhPjyW
@FESKindTeacher Each and every one of these students is someone else's "world". This way of thinking underlies much of what I do as a Kindergarten teacher.
