Yes but that's the thing, it's fundamentally against Odysseus as a character. He is a schemer who uses deception to his benefit. Same man who uncaringly killed sleeping men. The Trojan Horse is one of his finest. Making him into a honourable man wanting a fair fight is strange 😭

Satyricon made me feel genuinely uncomfortable in a lot of scenes BECAUSE THAT’S THE POINT, not everything about a world 2–3 thousand years ago needs to be softened just to please the audience
