After remarkable success at the RHS Flower Show, Drakkar's Drift Garden has been formally opened in its permanent home in Victoria Park. Designed by Leith resident Luke Coleman, the garden was inspired by Scotland’s historic links with Scandinavia, the restorative benefits of nature and sustainable design principles. 🌱
A successful community campaign saw the garden brought home to Edinburgh, where the original design has since been adapted and expanded to transform a former bowling green in Victoria Park into a vibrant, accessible community space. 🌷
The iconic Ross Fountain, in the heart of Princes Street Gardens is one of Edinburgh’s most loved landmarks. ⛲️
Originally gifted to the city in the 19th century, this beautifully ornate cast-iron fountain has stood beneath the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle for generations. Whether you’re strolling through the gardens, soaking up the views, or capturing that perfect Edinburgh photo moment, the Ross Fountain never disappoints. 📸

June has brought Edinburgh a little bit of everything. From bright sunshine lighting up the city's streets and gardens to sudden downpours and grey skies, it's been a month of ever-changing weather.
Throughout the month there's been excitement in the air as the World Cup continues, with Scotland fans tuning in from pubs and bars across the capital. Whether basking in the sunshine or sheltering from the rain, Edinburgh always finds a way to look its best.
This year's floral clock has been unveiled in Princes Street Gardens, celebrating 20 years of therapeutic gardening charity Trellis Scotland. Chosen as this year's celebrated organisation, Trellis helps more than 15,000 people each week across the country improve their health and wellbeing through therapeutic gardening. 🌱
The design is made up of approximately 35,000 flowers, bringing together the beautiful fully functioning timepiece. After many weeks of planting, the clock is continuously trimmed, weeded and watered throughout the season. 🌺
Originally built as an access road to Market Street and the new Waverley Rail Station, Jeffrey Street sits atop 10 arches, with hidden closes between buildings leading to the Royal Mile.
Not only does the street offer spectacular views of Calton Hill, it is now home to many unique shops, cafes and pubs.
Sunrise & sunset 17 hrs 36 mins apart on 21st June over Edinburgh's Old Town - with my viewpoints only 86 degrees apart.
Same sticky up bits in a slightly different order & at sunset you can see - at the top of the crane - 60 mile distant Ben Lawers on Loch Tay's N shore
9pm in Edinburgh and the sun still hasn't quite said goodbye yet. Yesterday was the longest day of the year, and the city is still holding on to every bit of that summer evening light. 🌇✨
