Today Cardiff Met UCU have requested a pause to the proposed redundancy consultation period on the basis that we cannot meaningfully consult when over half of our members and union officers are on leave.

@sakurabyrne I am an academic, but had a previous third sector career. Depending on what your degrees are in, policy and research (third sector, local/national government) are all good choices in terms of work-life balance, and (if you choose carefully) decent pay. PhD skills are in demand.

@PrifWeinidog I find this disappointing. Trump's values are the opposite of those I associate with Wales - inclusivity, progressiveness, fairness, tolerance. Wales, and (most of) Welsh Labour has consistently fought for women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights. We are a nation of sanctury. Principles.
