Just heard the news and honestly it gave me chills. 🌊
Every single MDP MP has come together behind @MickailNaseem for Chairperson.
This is what unity looks like. This is what the party needs.
Inshallah Meekail, the best is yet to come. 💛🗳️

641 million MVR per year.
641 x 5 years =3.2 billion MVR.
Majlis election:
60 million MVR per election.
60 million MVR x once every 5 years =60 million MVR.
So for 5 years:

I strongly condemn the government’s use of disproportionate force during last night’s peaceful protest.
Deeply concerned by the condition of MDP Hulhumalé Central VP Raslaan, who suffered a heart attack after being pepper-sprayed and subjected to LRADs. I wish Raslan a full and speedy recovery.
Such brutality to silence citizens is a strong sign of a government losing all legitimacy
This is the cost of speaking out under Muizzu's rule.
Mr. Raslaan, MDP Constituency VP, suffered a heart attack after being exposed to indiscriminate pepper spraying at close range and the use of Long Range Acoustic Devices (LRADs) by Dr. Muizzu's government against peaceful protesters tonight. The brutality displayed by Dr. Muizzu's government has crossed every line.
This was a peaceful protest where citizens were subjected to brutal treatment!
My prayers are with Raslaan and his family as he fights for his life in the intensive care unit. Wishing him a speedy recovery ❤️🩹.
@UN, @volker_turk@UNHumanRights, @UN_HRC, @commonwealthsec, @EU_Commission,
The Maldivian Democratic Party is deeply concerned about VP of the Hulhumale’ Central constituency Mohamed Raslaan, who is currently being treated in IGMH following a heart attack suffered at tonight’s demonstration. We wish Raslaan’s family strength, and pray for his quick and complete recovery.
The police have engaged in the use of sonic weapons against protesters, and journalists have reported that the police have started jamming signals at the scene to keep footage of the brutality contained. We urge all protesters and observers to use their personal devices to keep record of the events. @hrcmv@policemv@nic_maldives
