Worked in a new classroom today, I saw a great set up for assigning dojo points. The teacher has a box of laminated dojo points that are given to well-performing/well-behaved students. Students are then responsible for putting these in their pouch at the end of the day. #acuedu_p

For test revisions, students use the sentence frame "At first I thought ______, but now I think _____." and then do the problem again. I want to show them it's okay to change your mind after learning or relearning information.

Assessment provides students the opportunity to build on their knowledge, review their mistakes and prepare for the future. Teaching processes requires assessment as students learn what is expected of them and teachers can shape their lessons. #acuedu_p
