I am reliably informed that today is #NationalBiscuitDay.
Here is a 🧵 of all the biscuits I've made so far in 2021.
First up, my William Morris set. Inspired by an old @V_and_A calendar, everything hand-piped in royal icing. Flavour: cardamom, orange & vanilla.
Can anyone recommend papers or book chapters that would be good for a journal club in the current situation?
Our whole school focus is literacy vocabulary, however, I would also like to look at assessment (particular for virtual learning), questioning, direct instruction...
So here it is! Our first discussion will be about this article. And it's a good one!
Read it. Think what it could mean for your teaching. Think of questions. Then come join us in our discussion on Mon 17th Aug at 8pm #mathsjournalclub

I really love this quote about the necessity of actively (and accurately) supporting students. Without it "the learning process becomes not only individualised but also privatised" #rEDBrum#JournalClub
Fantastic online journal club research opportunity from @CharteredColl and @wellcometrust. Free training, journal club action & free membership of the CCT for pri or sec science teachers - what's not to love?! Sign up to facilitate or participate here 📑🍪 https://t.co/c3inUPfz1W
@ninacollege Hmm. Can you get some key interested people to take part and get them to spread the word (thinking slow build up might be more sustainable in the long term)? Alternatively, is there perhaps a training event you could tack a JC discussion onto?
