School can be tough, for anyone. It can be even tougher if you’re a young person in #care.
We asked young people in care what they wanted their teachers to know about them. Here's what they said. #SeeMe

What a brilliant, inspirational story! We are always encouraging our young people to use their care experience to empower them, not define them. @lloydkelly4 is a great role model for this

This is the story of 22-year-old Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly, who's hoping to help the Cherries beat Southampton and reach the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend.
Last weekend, our School Social Workers took the CEPIE students to Newcastle for an adventure getaway. Whist there they climbed towers, ran through forests playing laser-tag, and practised their archery skills. A thoroughly enjoyable getaway for all!
A massive thank you again to Julie Ann at @QUBWPU for her generous gift to our CEPIE pupils. Pupil wellbeing is always at the top of our list, and we have been kindly gifted these brilliant resources to give to our pupils before midterm. Thank you! @QUBelfast#collaboration
At @hazelwoodni we care about our students. If you need any help over the mid term break you can call these organisations. Miss Tolan and I are looking forward to checking in with everybody after the well deserved break. Be safe, have fun and enjoy your time off!
Delightful 'catch-up' conversation with Dylan @dylanrgsloan and so impressed with his, Sinead @EduSocialWork & @hazelwoodni@ThompsonMaire good initiative in strategically embedding social work into educational setting/context. More developments coming & I'm pleased 2 support🤗🤗
Absolutely incredible! One of the young people we support could not wait to tell us her Health & Social Care exam mark! We are very proud School Social Workers. Supporting every element of the young person is important, when emotional health is supported, academic grades improve.
We want to say a HUGE thank you to Julie-Ann from @QUBelfast@QUBstaff@QUBEngagement for your thoughtful and kind donation. We were able to provide a Christmas gift, and plenty of Christmas treats to all of our Care Experienced Young People. Thank you again!
Today during our Year 8 boys session we played Buckaroo! We discussed how when we keep adding baggage such as stress on to ourselves we are more likely to kick back. We also explored coping mechanisms to remove some of the stress. Great work year 8 boys! @hazelwoodni
We are excited to be joining efforts with the many Departments in @hazelwoodni to create food hampers for our families that need it most. This is what the festive season is about, sharing, caring and a sense of intentional community. 🍬🎄🧑🏼🎄🎅🏼
