A quick recap of the short and medium term of Ethereum scaling.
TLDR:
1. Ultra-high scaling with sharding + rollups will be possible *in phase 1*
2. Sharding is NOT "cancelled"
3. Get on a rollup asap; you get 100x scaling even without eth2
Future of project management is web3... Because there is no single team that can agree on UI/flow of PMing, but everyone wants to connect their flows.
Web3 provides an open services and open source platform to achieve that: build your own UI/flow on top of common state.
@moxie Responded!
I think the status quo comes from a present-day "missing middle" where we have centralized-but-easy things and decentralized-but-hard things, but new tech (w lots of cryptography!) actually is on the cusp of giving us the best of both worlds.

1/ Web3, as the next evolution of the internet, is so painfully obvious.
Yet - the great majority of the mainstream remains skeptical, and the average internet user is unaware of this new paradigm shift.
How do help someone see the value in Web3?

Happy new year!
Today, a mini-tweetstorm of some of the things I've said and written over the past decade, and what I think about those subjects today.
Crypto is filled w examples of learning the wrong lessons from history
2013-2015, seeing alts fail, then writing off coins like eth more broadly
2018-2020, seeing eos fail, then writing off coins like avax, sol more broadly
Funds who held down 90% in 2018, sold early in 2020
is PCV (protocol controlled value) only important for synthetic asset protocols? e.g protocol needs x $ of value to back the synths (stablecoins or otherwise)
