i got sober at 23. i still have friends that go to the bar, club, do a bag on the weekends. i love them, but we’re leading different lives, so i support them from a distance. sometimes i think i wish i could go out and have fun like them, i’m still young, i don’t want to miss out
100 days down and sobriety isn’t easy.
- I used to think I hated mornings , nope I just hated being up from the night before. I’m in love with mornings now. The way the sun is gentle with the heat , so I can charge in all its glory. The refreshing morning air and the silence to be able to reflect.
-Online Community has been everything to me. Bens friends and online AA meeting has been a real blessing and def the biggest thing I lean on for support and making me feel this is the best decision. People are so important and people that understand even more so.
-Taking alcohol outta my life has given me space to be the person Ive always wanted , and my life now is full of dreams & activities that I never had time for.
-I want everything to be fixed right away inside me , but that’s not how this works. Can’t just skip to the last level. Its a journey for a reason , I got to trust it and do the work.
Know your reasons , find your people, find Inspiration and give yourself love.100 days of sobriety there are MANY good things in my life both in how I feel right now, and how I view my tomorrow. It ain’t easy but its worth it and i’m grateful.
Cheers to the next 100!

Soon I'll be celebrating 17 years of continuous sobriety. By celebrating I mean quietly going on about my day. 17 yrs of facing my past, my healing, & discovering of who I am & what I'm capable of for 17 years. Also, waking up exactly where I intended to for 17 straight years. 🥳
#Mourinho is taking control of the situation. Conte openly pining for his job, embarrassing really.
#ASRoma/#Conti leaking, he's rightly had enough. Under Jose, Roma finally have a trophy + managed to attract players they'd not get otherwise. Roma have become perennial losers.
I'm heading to the House floor right now to vote for HAKEEM JEFFRIES for Speaker of the House!
Democrats will stick together for as many rounds as it takes.

Folks, there are core values that should bring us together as Americans.
And one of them is standing together against hate, racism, bigotry, and violence that have long haunted and plagued our nation.
Happy Birthday from all of Terrapin Nation to @BobWeir, the man who still keeps us on the run & always keeps our feet moving to the music! Thank you for every single glorious minute of it, Bob, may the music never stop!

We must come together, as Americans, and reject all forms of bigotry and hatred. As President Biden has made clear, there is no place in America for hate against anyone.
.@RepDWStweets, as a breast cancer survivor, you’ve turned your pain into purpose and changed the lives of countless people across the country.
Thank you for bringing us together at your Cancer Survivorship Summit to talk about our shared commitment to ending cancer as we know it.

I would just like to share what I witnessed yesterday morning at Bagels N' Buns.
I was waiting at the counter for an order and a homeless man asked one of the employees to please fill his half gallon, plastic milk carton with water.
The worker said “what are you going to use it for?”
In my head, I was thinking he was going to say that if he wanted it for drinking he has to buy a bottle blah blah blah…
The man said “to drink”, the employee told him to “please go over to the cooler and get whatever size water he’d like.”
He then filled up the milk carton as requested.
The man thanked the employee for the water but said he was really hungry and could use a meal.
The worker Benny said “no problem! What would you like?”
The man gave him his order and he got to it with a smile on his face. I then went over to the register to ask Kathie (who is AMAZING) if I could give her money for him, to use a credit for a few meals.
She replied “Janessa, that is so kind, but we feed him whenever he is hungry.
He always has a meal here, when he needs.”
They’ve been doing it for years!!!
Another reason for me to love them over there.
I was really moved by the whole situation. I felt the need to share this because when businesses give from the heart, when they are hurting the most, they deserve a shout out ❤️🥯 BIG love shout to Mike, Katie, and the whole crew at Bagels n Buns in NYC.”❤️
