Taking each day as it comes is the easiest way to deal with any problem.
The solution only comes from experiencing the problem, not running away from it.
Today I deliberately went to the supermarket for my weekly shop at the busiest time with the longest of queues.
Inefficient? Yes.
I do this from time to time to remind myself to be patient and that in today's fast-paced world there's no need to rush all the time.
@AkbaniUmair More Medicine + [other interest] programmes need to be embedded into the curriculum to allow medics to pursue other interests alongside their degree with something in place post-medical school. The current med school curriculum's one-dimensional nature can feel like a trap.
There's a difference between ageing and maturing.
You can have grey hair and wrinkles and not be mature.
You can be young and be wiser than those a decade or more older.
Ageing takes no effort.
Maturity takes discipline and constant renewal of the mind.
@AGoodDeath@Liz_ORiordan Every cancer patient should be able to choose the imagery. Don't agree with others choosing the imagery for others (e.g. media) especially when someone is said to have 'lost their battle'; it implies some ppl can control outcomes and others can't when cancer is unpredictable.
@PropaneFitness They're so experienced, been in the game so long and take on fewer clients while charging more; they have now have the time, space and energy to really take things on a case-by-case basis.
@KalpPatel_@alexeyguzey When I came across Dr Walker's book - I did some reading around. I'm always skeptical of books that go viral that are supposedly based on science.
Came across research on effectiveness of sleep deprivation for people with depression.
Sleep definitely isn't one-size-fits-all.
