@Dean90815Dean@magawarriorMike When I was five years old, I got to be in the Peanut Gallery (just once; but the memory is clear after more than seven decades).
@flemingrut You are in my heart and my prayers as you place Dick in the care of the Savior who lives him and died for him. I have carried an image in my mind of when I first met Dick - and you - in 1995, and how lovingly he supported your ministry. May Christ’s peace be yours in abundance.
@flemingrut It’s a great gift that even in dementia, the BCP prayers are planted deeper than dementia itself. You and Dick are in my prayers every day.
@PotentiaEtActus My funeral nightmare: I conducted a “public service” funeral for a stranger named George. Every time I mentioned George in the homily or prayers, everyone squirmed; and afterward, no one would talk to me. It turned out that people knew the deceased as Bud. Nobody told me.
@FatherTim That practice, an introvert’s nightmare, was doubtless dreamed up by an extrovert. When I arrived in my former parish, I eliminated the practice my first Sunday. No one complained.
