Zohran Mamdani loves screaming “tax the rich” while he’s in office. He went after Robert De Niro’s wealth tax and acted like he was some hero for the working class.

But when Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce decided to get married at Madison Square Garden, this fraud suddenly found $15 million of New Yorkers’ money for “security and support.”

Sources at the venue say Swift and Kelce used Mamdani’s cousin Ezekiel’s local moving company to get all their equipment in and out.

So the taxpayers got fucked twice:
1. $15 million for celebrity wedding security
2. Mamdani’s family got a nice fat contract on top of it

All while this communist piece of shit pretends he’s fighting for the little guy.

New Yorkers are getting robbed blind by this fraud and his family. He taxes the rich, then turns around and hands millions to his own relatives and celebrity friends.

That’s not socialism. That’s just plain old corruption with a red flag.

Mamdani-Appointed Commission Quietly Pushes Nearly 20% Pay Raises for NYC Politicians — While the Mayor Pushes “Tax the Billionaires”

A commission hand-picked by Mayor Zohran Mamdani has recommended giving New York City’s elected officials an 18.2% pay raise — the largest increase in a decade — even as the mayor continues to campaign on soaking the rich to fund city services.

The three-person Quadrennial Advisory Commission, appointed by Mamdani in March 2026, released its report recommending salary bumps for the mayor, City Council members, borough presidents, the comptroller, public advocate, council speaker, and district attorneys. The increases would be the first since 2016 and would apply retroactively in some cases if approved by the City Council this summer.

The detailed numbers
Under the proposal:
The mayor’s salary would jump from $258,750 to $305,800.
City Council members would rise from $148,500 to $175,500.
The Council Speaker’s pay would increase from $164,500 to $194,400.
The comptroller would go from $209,050 to $247,100.
The public advocate would move from $184,800 to $218,400.
Borough presidents would see their salaries climb from $179,200 to $211,800.

These are not small adjustments. They represent real money in a city where many working families are already stretched thin by high taxes, rent, and everyday costs. Mamdani and Council Speaker Julie Menin have both signaled they would decline the raises themselves — a move that conveniently allows them to claim the moral high ground while still giving cover to the rest of the political class.

The commission and Mamdani’s role

The commission was appointed directly by Mamdani shortly after he took office. Its members included former city officials and an economist. The panel’s report was quietly released around election day last week, avoiding major fanfare. This is the same body that is supposed to provide independent review of elected officials’ compensation. In practice, it delivered exactly what many politicians wanted: justification for higher pay.

Mamdani, a democratic socialist who rose to power on promises to fight inequality and make the wealthy pay their “fair share,” now has an advisory body under his control recommending raises that will ultimately be funded by New York City taxpayers. The city’s budget is already under pressure from high spending, crime-related costs, migrant services, and slow economic growth in some sectors. The hypocrisy on display

New York City does not have a shortage of high-paid officials. It has a shortage of results. Crime, homelessness, failing schools, and out-of-control costs continue to drive people out of the city. Handing politicians an 18% raise while lecturing everyone else about “equity” and “taxing the rich” is not leadership. It is self-dealing dressed up in progressive language.

The commission’s recommendation makes one thing clear: when given the chance, even self-described socialists in power will find ways to increase their own compensation. The question is whether New Yorkers will keep accepting the same old story.
