The French ambassador @FranceinKenya to Kenya made a hilarious speech in swahili on Bastille Day today. In his opening line, he says Kenya and France have a history of maandamano (protests).

Let's be clear: Israel's attack on Iran is not simply a violation of the UN Charter. It is a manifest violation of it. Few acts are more unequivocally illegal than preventive (non-imminent) self-defence. So Israel's attack is both unlawful and criminal -- the crime of aggression.
(In my academic capacity) Israel's strikes on Iran are a prohibited use of force under article 2(4) of the UN Charter, an armed attack under article 51 giving Iran a right of self-defence and likely an international crime of aggression by Israeli leaders

Today the lawyers at Milimani made my day. Appearing before Hon Asiago in Milimani was a lady who was being sued for an unpaid debt. As a judgment debtor, she couldn't raise the amount. Apparently, she is a housemaid earning 5k and has a baby (she had the baby in court). The magistrate's hands were tied, and he explained to her that he only had one option in law, to send her to jail.
Something beautiful then happened. An advocate called Omuga interjected and offered to settle the JDs deretal amount, after him came another, and another... The magistrate also contributed.
In about 5 minutes, the Decree holder's advocate was MPESAd his money, the JD received the balance and case was closed.
My faith in humanity was restored.
for there be few better ways to opening the week that with sharing beautiful words, works, worlds ... for you all, my dear dear friends, the new issue of ONE IMPERATIVE, just out ...
