I worked the Brazilian elections for France 24.
For what it's worth (and armed with a degree in History and Politics!!), here's my take on what happened.
@NK_ESQ The positive I have taken in the last month is that I took X off my mobile phone.
I still have it on my PC, but scrolling when in pubs and the like is out. Good for mental health as has become a sewer.
@tweeting_keith The really daft thing is that media management is supposed to be subtle. You would have to be dimmer than a light under the bed not to see that there has been a line-to-take.
Manchester City will always be part of my heart.
I arrived at Maine Road in 1995 and lived through some very difficult days with this club. Relegation, uncertainty, seasons when nothing went our way. But one thing never changed: the supporters stood by City every single week.
Today there is a lot of noise around the club. I'm not here to talk about courtrooms. I'm here to say that this club, its people and its fans have been through storms before, and they always came back stronger.
Stay together. Stay proud. Blue forever. 💙

City Employees Statement
Amid the frenzy of speculation about the charges against Manchester City, Trade Union Blues would like to express solidarity with the club’s players and staff, who must be concerned about their future.

@9320pod The developments over the last 24 hours are plainly not great. But nothing changes what we, and everyone else, has seen on the pitch. Noone is calling that into question. So on we go.
Most City fans have seen it all and been through it all over the years. The club is always bigger than any individual past or present and backing the players will be our main focus. Be a great year to win the champions league 😉 We'll support you evermore.
Today I have written to the head of the UK Football Policing Unit after its disgraceful attempt to link alcohol with the Hillsborough disaster following the Prime Minister’s call to ease restrictions at football matches.
Alcohol did not cause Hillsborough. The behaviour of supporters did not cause or contribute to the disaster.
These are the authoritative, factual conclusions of the inquests and the independent investigations. They are not matters of opinion.
Thirty-seven years on, when will policing authorities finally accept the truth and stop perpetuating the lies and smears created in the aftermath of the disaster?
Enough is enough.

This is low, even by the standards of the UK Football policing unit, casually linking the Taylor report post Hillsborough and football tragedies to changes in the law on drinking at matches
Drinking in view of the pitch didn’t cause deaths or injuries - policing failures did
City (should be) top going into the international break. Expect three weeks of 115, VAR injustice, crowd counting. You name it. All of which - irrelevant.
On the basis of last night, Manchester United are not owned by the Glazers or Ratcliffe, a quick check at Companies House reveals they were owned by Pascal Gross.
