We will never defeat William Ruto in a tribal election. If your plan for 2027 is to unite tribal kingpins against Ruto, i am sorry to let you know that you have lost before you start. Do you know why? There are people in this country who hate a certain tribe more than they hate William Ruto. Because of jealousy. They see that community’s businesses doing well in their towns. They see that community buying their land. They see that community leasing land and harvesting truckloads of farm produce. They see middle men from that community in their villages buying agricultural produce and taking to the city for profit. They feel that they are poor because that community has taken their opportunities. Very wrong thinking by the way. There are so many parents in this country that cannot let their son marry from certain communities. Tribal hate is entrenched in some of our parents. That is why we are very fast to castigate Ruto for corruption but we forgive the corrupt leaders from our community. The way tribal politics works, is that a tribe endorses a kingpin then the kingpin negotiates for the community. These kingpins are mostly corrupt ministers and government officials who William Ruto will buy or has already bought. This guy has stolen more than 4 trillion since 2013 in my estimation. There is no one who is for sale that he cannot afford. Therefore we have lost before we begin.

We, the young generation can change that. Some of us dont speak our ethnic language. Some of us are born of a mother and father from different ethnic communities. Some of us have studied in schools far away from our villages. We have understood how other communities live. Some of us have married from other communities. Some of us do business and have understood the Agikuyu community and their hard work.

We are the only only ones who can rise above tribe. We are the ones who will teach our parents a new way of life. If we unite as the youth, we are the majority. It will not matter whether our parents vote on tribal lines. We will fix them proper. We will wash away that rubbish and define a new future. They will have no choice but to live in our dream. Can we unite as young people and sweep away corruption and bad governance?

When an election is led by the youth tribelessly, Ruto cannot rig it. The youth are so powerful on social media, Ruto cannot use any mainstream media house for his propaganda. When the youth are leading an election the candidate doesnt need money. The candidate doesnt need security. The candidate doesnt need agents. It will be game over. But are we ready?
