Jonathan: You can’t do anything to win elections and call it politics
Former President Goodluck Jonathan says politicians cannot justify every action taken to win an election by simply describing it as politics.
Jonathan spoke on Thursday in Abuja while delivering a goodwill message at a public lecture held to mark the 80th birthday of Kanu Agabi, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and former attorney-general of the federation (AGF).

In the UK and U.S., We Have No Clue Who the Chair of the Electoral Commission Is; Results Come From the Media Monitoring Elections - Utomi
If INEC tells us that people cannot bring things to make elections transparent, then they are criminals who don’t want the elections to be transparent. There should be body cams and live streams from every polling booth in the country. If they don’t want it, Nigerians should take over their country.
Prof. Pat Utomi, Member, Movement for Credible Elections
Interesting if true. Also interesting if it isn’t.
A clip circulating on BitChute puts it in blunt terms: if you took the COVID jab, U.S. law no longer sees you the same way. Cattle. Product. “Transhuman.” Not a person in the old legal sense.
That’s the claim. Take it or leave it.
The argument usually runs like this:
A 2013 U.S. Supreme Court case, Association for Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics, drew a line between what is “naturally occurring” and what is man-made in the lab. Isolated natural DNA, the Court said, is not patentable. Synthetic complementary DNA -cDNA - can be, because it is not found in nature in that form.
From that one distinction, some commentators make a much larger jump:
If a product is treated as synthetic or modified, and if patents cover lab-made genetic material, then people who received an mRNA shot have been legally moved out of the “natural human” category and into something else - property, livestock, a patented class.
That’s the leap the video is selling.
Now the part most people skip.
That case was about breast-cancer gene patents. BRCA1 and BRCA2. It was decided years before COVID existed. It does not mention vaccines. It does not mention citizenship. It does not reclassify any living person as cattle, chattel, or a new species. Patent law is about who can claim an invention, not about stripping someone of legal personhood.
U.S. law also has a separate, pretty explicit rule: you cannot get a patent “directed to or encompassing a human organism.” Vaccinated people still vote, still sue, still get passports, still have the same constitutional status they had the day before the shot. Courts have not announced a second-class legal human.
So you end up with two layers, and they are not the same thing:
1. The narrow legal fact. The Court said natural DNA sequences are not inventions. Lab-made cDNA can be patented as a composition of matter in a lab context.
2. The wide interpretation. Some people hear “synthetic / modified / patentable” and conclude the recipient of a medical product is no longer fully human under the law.
Layer 1 is in the opinion. Layer 2 is the theory built on top of it.
Could some future statute, contract, insurance rule, or biotech regime treat modified bodies differently? History is full of governments inventing new categories when it suited them. That is a separate question about power, not a description of what Myriad actually held.
Could the video be overreading a patent case and turning it into a status change that never happened? That is also possible. In fact, that is the standard legal reading.
So: interesting? Yes. Settled as “you are now cattle”? No. Who knows what gets written into the next generation of biotech law? Nobody does. What we can know for certain is what that 2013 ruling said, and what it did not say.
Watch the clip. Read the case. Don’t outsource your conclusion to a thumbnail.
The 33 Suspects of Illegal Miners Dying in NSCDC Detention Is Plain Murder - Tietie
The NSCDC has been in scandals of preferential protectionism in the mining sector, and this is why it has had clashes with the police. This is a clear case of murder, and they are lying it was a disease. What kind of disease kills people in 48 hours?
Frank Tietie, Lawyer | Arise Analyst
It's unfortunate that people are not secured in security custody. This is the most shameless and nefarious act I have ever seen committed by @official_NSCDC. I have never imagined such will come from @official_NSCDC. It's disappointing!
"Now as a Nigerian, you land anywhere around the world and the see you as a drug dealer. I have never seen cocaine but now the think we all deal with cocaine in Nigeria because of our President.
And they said he is on vacation. In the midst of all these chaos"
ATTENTION. If you are supporting Tinubu the emir of hardship, you are supporting a man who:
1. Was so clever he skipped primary and secondary school entirely.
2. Has not a single old school friend, old neighbor, cousin, sibling or childhood witness to his existence anywhere on earth.
3. Begs and lobbies to keep his FBI records sealed while the man he opposes tells you to go and verify everything about him.
4. Was a manager at a multinational company earning less than $30,000 per year yet somehow forfeited $460,000 to the US government.
5. Left his INEC academic credentials for primary and secondary school completely blank after previously using schools that no longer exist to enter university, file for governorship and run for the presidency in 2023.
6. Claims to have built Lagos yet must fly to France and the UK for medical care and vacations.
7. Controlled Lagos for over 20 years with no reliable pipe borne water, no functional public healthcare, no low cost housing and no affordable or free public schools.
There are only a few ways to explain this level of support:
1. Greed and personal interest.
2. Tribalism and bigotry.
3. Pure ignorance or a complete failure of judgment.
Please help us understand why anyone would support the worst president Nigeria has ever had the misfortune of not voting for but yet stole his way into Aso Rock.

UNBELIEVABLE STAT: PETER OBI SAID NO NIGERIAN BORN AFTER INDEPENDENCE HAVE BEEN PRESIDENT 🤦🏾♂️😳
How do we expect men born in a slave (Colonial) mentality to fix current problems?
Now you know why Roads and FAKE Loans to students are the highlight of Tinubu’s Presidency!
Sheikh Tijjani Guruntum has said what millions of Nigerians are feeling silently: any government policy that always ends with the masses suffering must be questioned.
Democracy is not dictatorship wearing agbada. Democracy means listening to the people. Democracy means that when citizens cry out, leaders pause, reflect and adjust. Democracy means government policies should serve the people, not punish them.
But under Tinubu’s APC, every major policy appears to arrive with pain first and explanation later.
Fuel subsidy removal brought hardship.
The naira float brought pressure.
Electricity tariff increases brought more burden.
New tax conversations bring fresh fear.
Food prices keep rising.
Transport keeps punishing workers.
Businesses keep struggling.
Families keep reducing their dreams.
At what point will this government admit that Nigerians are tired?
The people are not rejecting reform because they hate progress. They are rejecting policies that make life unbearable while the political class continues to live comfortably. You cannot ask the poor to sacrifice endlessly while those in power enjoy luxury, convoys, allowances and protection from the same hardship they created.
If this is truly democracy, then Tinubu’s government must listen.
When the majority of citizens say a policy is hurting them, leadership should not insult them with grammar. It should not call them opposition agents. It should not tell them to be patient forever. It should listen, correct and protect the people.
Sheikh Guruntum is right: we cannot continue like this.
A government exists to reduce suffering, not multiply it. A leader is elected to serve citizens, not test their endurance. Nigeria cannot survive another four years of policies that treat the masses like collateral damage.
Tinubu’s APC must understand one thing clearly: Nigerians are watching, Nigerians are hurting, and Nigerians will remember.
In 2027, every painful policy will have a political consequence.
