@BrO_Shea12 Well said. I’ve been thinking this for years. You draft people with 4.3 40 speed for a reason. I don’t want them slipping and sliding around during the biggest game of the year. Give me a dome.
@DrunkRepub The best thing to do in Skyrim is nothing at all. Find a scenic overlook at night with the auroras painting the sky with neon streaks, and just listen to the music and the breeze.
@georgeofman@CHGO_Cubs No one is going to trade them 3 major league players for 2 months of Skubal. It’s not realistic. 3 prospects sure. But not major leaguers.
@brendan_cubs Yup. 90 win seasons are rare. Since 1900, the cubs have only won 90+ 26 times. That’s 1 in 5 seasons. Can’t take them for granted. Whether or not you have a bye it’s still a playoff year. You push the chips in now, especially considering there may be no games next year.
All bullpen arms are risks. They’re highly volatile and you never know what you’re going to get from them. Anytime the Cubs sign a reliever for more than a year it blows up on them (eg Maton). It’s not worth the spend with that much help on the way. The bigger need is starting pitching, by a lot.
@CubsSkipper I’m not spending farm resources on bullpen when I’ve got 5-7 guys coming back. Don’t forget Brown and Steele who could be back in September. That’s an entire new pen.

The building that was being cleared was being held by a communist agitator John Pace, who was there to turn the mob against the government. The communist party was there, and they were under orders to provoke a violent clash by occupying partially demolished treasury buildings and ignoring eviction orders.
@HotStoveCubbies Gray makes a ton of sense. He’s pitched well, is on an expiring contract and thus wouldn’t cost a lot.
Skubal would make you blow your system up. Hartshorn or Conrad. Plus he’s a free agent.
