@mattlitster2@MarioBojic@GlobalDiss In what universe does the "hands behind his back" move make any sense at all with a small child? This is the Israeli playbook for dealing with children.
@JimFergusonUK Bits of this remind me of the lead-up to WW 1. There were certainly people who were pointing at the danger of a general European war for decades beforehand and who even saw the terrible synergy of the new industries with the old political rivalries. Nobody listened of course.
@ryangerritsen The Two Minutes Hate is a daily, mandatory ritual in George Orwellโs novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, where citizens must watch a video of state enemies, screaming in rage and eventually pledging loyalty to Big Brother.
@Asmon_Updates That's ad hominem dressed up as insight. The moment somebody says hustle harder or freedom, they're also about to sell you something. Selling is the medium of the internet, not a property of one ideology.
@gddub Much as I understand the sentiment it's not the kind of thing you want to go around yelling when you're not in power yet. That just identifies you as an existential threat to them to be stamped out. Once you're in power it's another matter of course.
@RealJamesWoods If the MSM won't hold them accountable, we're all left shouting into the void of the net. Real traction comes from the crusty old MSM like it or not.
@StokLimitado@SandyofCthulhu Great stuff
SAUSAGE-SELLER
But I have not had the least education. I can only read, and that very badly.
DEMOSTHENES
That is what may stand in your way, almost knowing how to read. A demagogue must be neither an educated nor an honest man; he has to be an ignoramus and a rogue.
@namcios Easy problem to deal with if you're at all technically proficient. Get a single board computer or an old desktop box or whatever and install pihole. Works like a charm, negates all those tracking services right from the comfort of your own home. https://t.co/fOWnlpCi5e
