“Siyasette güven, yönetimde istikrar” olduğu sürece Allah’ın izniyle her sorun çözülür, her sıkıntı giderilir, her engelin üstesinden gelinir.
Tell someone outside crypto that their life savings depend on 24 words they can never lose, mistype, photograph, leak, or forget and they'd assume the product was broken.
In crypto, we somehow turned that into the standard.
You're expected to be your own bank and your own security team and your own archivist, forever. One slip years from now can still wipe the whole thing.
I went through Bron’s Seed Phrase Museum and took the security quiz myself.
It labelled my setup Cautious Collector, which is basically a polite way of saying I’ve done some things right, but there are a few gaps.
That was more useful than I expected because seed phrase risk usually feels abstract until a quiz starts asking where you store it, who knows about it, and what happens if that setup fails.
The Museum also tracks more than $7.2B in documented losses, but what got me wasn’t the size of the number.
It was how normal most of the mistakes are: a screenshot syncing to the cloud, bad handwriting, a damaged backup, or someone forgetting the password protecting it.
That made Bron’s mobile app easier to understand. It doesn't generate a seed phrase at all.
Its 2-of-3 MPC setup splits key control between your device, Bron and an independent third party, so one lost or compromised piece isn't enough to take the wallet down.
A system holding serious money shouldn’t require museum-level preservation skills from the owner.
It should survive normal people making normal mistakes sometimes.
Curious what everyone else gets with their quiz: https://t.co/Na3J5WBpon
Glad to partner with @bronwallet on this one.
Really can't repeat this enough, but so much smarter to actually have a job that gives you fixed income when you start off. Thinking that you're able to turn $1k in starting capital into $1m is highly unlikely.
Much better to get a job in crypto (if you can), and deploy $3k, $5k, or $10k into the market every month, instead of spending every single hour in front of the screen hoping your trade will make a jackpot win.
There's a few exceptions, and some people have real talent, but if you that were you, you'd probably not following this advice anyway.
Some guy quietly farmed $250K off a broken pricing bot on a market nobody was watching.
The same week, a16z published a paper on why JPMorgan and BlackRock want the rails without any of the decentralization.
