@DavidWondrich any idea about this weird J&B bottle I found in my mom's house? I've never seen the label with this layout. It has a gov't warning on the back so couldn't be older than the 1990s. The whisky inside is practically clear.
tenderly
From the clasp of the knitted locks from the keep of the well-closed doors
Let me be wafted
Let me glide noiselessly forth
Tenderly—be not impatient
Strong is your hold O mortal flesh
Strong is your hold O love
@AskLyft It should come as no surprise to anyone that the above tweet from @asklyft is just window dressing and that when I DMed them they were completely uninterested in looking into this issue.
People, be careful with @Lyft. I was going from Pomona NY to Jersey City and the driver tried to take me into Manhattan and then back out again ($20 fee each way), crossing the Hudson twice for no reason. Now Lyft won't refund the fee and there is no way to speak to a human.
@NYCTSubway@amywilson So if your phone is dead or you don't have service you're just out of luck?
What if you're in a hurry? What if you don't feel safe or comfortable taking your phone out in that station?
These "streamlines" are degrading your service and making the subway less accessible.
Americans apparently want “normal,” so much that we are willing to accept mass death, disability, and disruption for the foreseeable future, though “we,”—no, “they”—have the tools to stem the tide of this destruction.
