TRAFFIC ALERT: This Sunday, June 7, 11 a.m.–3:00 p.m., many major roads around Jersey City will be closed to car traffic briefly, as a large group bike ride passes through. (Jersey City Ward Tour.) 👉Please share! 🧵1/5
2/5 The ride will proceed clockwise around the loop shown.
It will first pass through the southern half of the loop, from Exchange Place to Lincoln Park, roughly 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Then it will pass through the northern half, Lincoln Park to Exchange, roughly 12:30–3:00.
3/5 Closure at any point will last about 30 minutes, with no motor vehicles allowed to drive on or across that segment. Once the ride fully passes, the road will open to crossing traffic immediately.
Closures will be implemented by Jersey City & Hudson Co. law enforcement escort.
4/5 There will also be no car parking on several blocks just west of Exchange Place, and on North Street from Central Ave. to Palisade Ave., from 11:59 pm Saturday to 6 pm Sunday. Temporary no-parking signs are being posted at curbside in those areas.
