In the last few weeks there have been serious and concerning developments regarding my sons’ father, Imran Khan’s treatment in prison. The Pakistan authorities have stopped all visits to him by his family and his lawyers. They have also postponed all court hearings. In addition to cutting off in- person visits, and in defiance of a court order, his weekly calls to his sons, Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, who are British and who live in London, were stopped on 10th September. We have received reports that the authorities have now turned off the lights and electricity in his cell and he is no longer allowed to leave his cell at any time. The jail cook has been sent on leave. He is now completely isolated, in solitary confinement, literally in the dark, with no contact with the outside world. His lawyers are concerned about his safety and well-being.

These actions come in the context of ongoing targeting of Imran’s family, as well as his party (PTI) members and supporters in an attempt to silence them and all political opposition in Pakistan. Imran’s nephew, Hassan Niazi, a civilian, has been detained in military custody since August 2023. More recently, Imran Khan’s sisters, Uzma and Aleema Khan, who have continued to speak out on his behalf, have also been arrested as they made their way peacefully to a demonstration and they are currently being held in jail, despite there being no proper or lawful basis for their imprisonment.

In June this year the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention found that Imran is unlawfully and arbitrarily detained and called for his immediate release.

 As a matter of urgency , we are calling for Imran Khan’s release, and for the release of his sisters and nephew as well as for his sons’ contact with their father to be re-established, so that they may have assurance first-hand that he is well and not being mistreated.

مخالف ٹیم کو میدان میں نہیں اترنے دیا گیا پھر بھی یہ بری طرح ہار گئے۔ جن کو بیس سیٹیں نہیں ملیں انھیں جعلی مینڈیٹ دیکر بٹھا دیا گیا ۔۔جو کام دشمن نہیں کر سکا وہ یہ خود کر کے ادارے کو نقصان پہنچا رہے ہیں۔

قوموں کو تباہ کرنے کے لیے دشمن کے حملے کی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی ۔اداروں پر کرپٹ اور نااہل لوگ بٹھا دئیے جائیں تو قوم تباہ ہو جاتی ہے۔محسن نقوی کو وزیر داخلہ اور کرکٹ بورڈ کا چیئرمین بنادیا گیا ۔اسکی تقرری بڑے ��احب نے کی ہے اور اس نے کرکٹ کا بیڑا غرق کرکے رکھ دیا ۔پاکستان کرکٹ ٹیم بنگلہ دیش سے وائٹ واش ہوگئی ہے اس سے بری اور شکست کیا ہوگی۔ایسا کون سا ایٹم بم پھٹا کہ تین سال میں ہماری کرکٹ بنگلہ دیش سے کارکردگی میں نیچے آ گئی اور تباہ ہو گئی۔کرکٹ ایک ٹیکنیکل کھیل ہے اس پر آپ نے سفارشی بٹھا دئیے ہیں ۔ محسن نقوی کی کیا قابلیت ہے؟ رمیز راجہ میرا رشتہ دار نہیں تھا ایک پروفیشنل کرکٹر تھا جس کو میں نے چیئرمین پی سی بی بنایا ۔محسن نقوی نے الیکشن کا فراڈ اور گندم فراڈ کیا اور اس کو وزیر داخلہ اور چیئرمین پی سی بی بڑے صاحب نے مقرر کر دیا۔دبئی لیکس میں محسن نقوی کی بیوی کے پانچ ملین ڈالر سامنے آئے ، کہاں سے آیا وہ پیسہ؟

ڈھائی ماہ سے قاضی فائز عیسیٰ نیب ترامیم کیس کا محفوظ فیصلہ نہیں سنا رہے۔ وہ اس لئےکہ وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ ��لقادر یونیورسٹی بنانے کے مضحکہ خیز کیس میں سزا ہونے کے بعد، نیب ترامیم کیس کا فیصلہ سنایا جائے گا- حالانکہ میں پہلے ہی کہ چُکا تھا کہ اگرچہ مجھے اس ترمیم سے فائدہ ہوگا لیکن میں قوم کے لیے یہ مقدمہ لڑ رہا ہوں۔ یہ پوری گیم کھیلی جا رہی ہے۔ نواز شریف کے چار ، شہباز شریف کے پانچ ، زرداری اور فرنٹ مینوں کے نو ریفرنسز فریز پڑے ہیں لیکن میرے خلاف جھوٹے ریفرنس پوری رفتار سے چل رہے ہیں-

میں ایک دن بھی جیل کے ہسپتال میں نہیں رہا ۔نواز شریف ، شہباز شریف اور آصف علی زرداری کو ایئر کنڈیشن کمرے اور اٹیچ باتھ دئیے گئے تھے ۔قیدی میرے لیے کھانا بناتا ہے میں نے کبھی کوئی شکایت نہیں کی ۔ایک ہفتے میں صرف تین لوگوں کو مجھ سے ملنے کی اجازت دی جاتی ہے ۔نواز شریف جیل میں 40 لوگوں کو ملتا تھا اس کے لیے اوپن ہاؤس ہوتا تھا ۔نواز شریف صحافیوں سے بھی اپنے کمرے میں بیٹھ کر باتیں کرتا تھا ۔میں چھ پارٹی لیڈران کے نام بھیجتا ہوں اور ہفتے میں مجھے تیس منٹ کے لیے اپنی پارٹی کے صرف تین لیڈران سے ملاقات کی اجازت دی جاتی ہے ۔ میرے اتنے ذیادہ کیس ہیں لیکن مجھے صرف چھ وکلا سے ملنے دیا جاتا ہے۔ مجھے قید تنہائی میں رکھا گیا ہے ، دن کے اکیس گھنٹے اپنے سیل میں ہی گزارتا ہوں ۔

گرمی کی وجہ سے سیل اوون بن جاتا ہے مگر کبھی شکایت نہیں کی اور نہ کبھی کہا کہ میں مشکل میں ہوں ۔ مجھے نہانے کے لیے بھی دوسرے کمرے میں جانا پڑتا ہے۔میری بس ایک شکایت ہے کہ مجھے میرے بچوں سے بات نہیں کرنے دی جاتی جو میرا قانونی حق ہے۔پارلیمنٹ میں جھوٹ بولا جاتا ہے کہ فایئوسٹار سہولیات دی گئی ہیں ۔ میرے پاس وہی سہولیات ہیں جو سزائے موت کے قیدی کو ملتی ہیں ۔ایسا لگتا ہے اوپر مارشل لا ایڈ منسٹریٹر بیٹھا ہوا ہے ۔ کس قانون کے تحت یہ پابندی لگا رہے ہیں کہ صحافی مجھ سے سوال نہیں پوچھ سکتے؟ میں پاکستان کی سب سے بڑی سیاسی جماعت کا سربراہ ہوں یہ میرا قانونی اور آئینی حق ہے کہ میں اوپن کورٹ میں صحافیوں اور میڈیا سے بات کر سکوں ۔

What did they want? For the overseas brother to *delete tweets* and stop posting about Imran Khan for 30 days. He initially refused, and they beat his brother, making sure he could hear.

On top of that the people thanks to your party's own connivance were disenfranchised as their elected reps were made to lose on Form 47 and to this day carrying a PTI flag may very well result in being manhanded by the police. And today the voice of the youth is being stifled and opportunities of learning and doing business are being diminished through firewalls and blocking of social media platforms. I am sorry Mian SB but your party isn't addressing the worries and problems faced by the youth and you want the youth to take out time to ponder over your disqualification. Yes Panama judgment was a result of political engineering but so is your current govt. If you want to be relevant again then stand with the people and for the people. It is you who gave up on the promise of "Vote ko izzat do" not the people.
