Selling on @eBay has always been an irritation but with all the grifter buyers out there trying to dispute the transactions in various ways, it's no longer worth it for the casual person that has something to sell.
@DanielRood11@ThinkyCrow This style of shutter only is functional with historical windows, which were a lot narrower. If you have an actual historical house, then by all means keep them, but even then they should really work. Otherwise, they're awful.

@shagbark_hick I admit "vagueries" meaning "vaguenesses" isn't found in dictionaries nearly as often as "vagaries", but are you sure? A "totally nondescript future" strikes me as a vague thing more than an erratic or flighty thing. But maybe I misunderstand you?
@escapefrommelos Street furniture like this is one of the areas where cast metal and stone actually still make sense even in a narrowly economic way; materials like these survive urban environments a lot better.
