"It seems that in the publishing industry’s hybrid offer so far, mostly able-bodied others make decisions, perhaps based on profit, or related to seat numbers, about what disabled people see, when we see it, & if we see it live or recorded."

Just finished The Wolf Den by @ElodieITV. A book that made me simultaneously want to read as quickly as possible to find out what happens, but also really slowly to enjoy the absolutely amazing writing.

Currently on leg cast number 6 after my ankle surgery, and I will never take the ability to wash my feet or itch my legs for granted again. Nothing truly prepared me for 3 months in plaster.
@JustGeekingBy I was made to swear by the scary nurses in the plaster room to not put anything down my cast. I was worried they'd know I'd done it when I get my cast changed and am too chicken to not do what I'm told 😂
@JustGeekingBy This is my first time in plaster and it's a nightmare. Definitely wouldn't want to do it again.
Yes strong ankle is definitely a plus, but it's harder to remember when I've got a killer itch haha
Just because one person might have been open and willing to talk to you about their disability, does not mean everyone will. Nor does it mean you are entitled to know for any reason.
