YO: Porque una persona no puede "ecoar". Cuando escuchamos un eco es porque una persona, animal o cosa produce el sonido, y el entorno lo repite a modo de eco en una manera no-activa. El eco es una consecuencia natural del sonido, no una acción.

ALUMNA 🇺🇸: Ah, caray... Pero por ejemplo, cuando en inglés dicen: "I echoed his words", ¿cómo lo dices en español?

YO: "Repetí sus palabras", "reproduje sus palabras", "dupliqué sus palabras". Cosas similares. Porque eso, literalmente, no es un eco, es una acción ejecutada por alguien.
