Pretty much every studio does use AI.
Gamedev has been using AI and ML for decades. It’s not new. Many have adopted new AI tools.
But he uses AI as a catch all to remove nuance from the conversation. Ignoring the ethical and quality concerns people have with certain types of generative AI.

I hope consumers and devs continue to push back on forms of AI they see as damaging to the quality of games.

Nobody cares if a producer uses it to generate an excel sheet.
People do care when the game has slop in it.
