Honored to have my research mentioned by @netanyahu in his address to the UNGA. Israel has in fact implemented more civilian harm mitigation measures (many that no nation has ever even imagined/attemped) than any military in history.

The other facts in his speech were also spot on. Israel has not only implemented extraordinary precautions in urban warfare to prevent civilian harm while Hamas has done everything it can to increase civilian harm, there is no genocide, actually the opposite of genocide in Gaza, Israel provided tons of food, water, medical supplies, facilitated immunizations for the entire populations, field hospitals, built new water lines, electricity, got patients to hospitals outside of Gaza, and much more.

President Macron warns of a “dramatic increase in settler violence.”

So we did something fairly simple:

We checked the UN’s own data. 🔎

And before we even get into the individual cases, here is the first number worth knowing:

That is the total number of Palestinian Arab fatalities according to OCHA's records over the past decade.

Not 590.

Not 5,900.

59. Over roughly a decade.

Then we checked every case.

Only ONE of those 59 was th victim of unprovoked violence by an Israeli civilian.

The other fatalities were either terrorists killed while carrying out attacks against Israelis, Arabs killed in confrontations with Israeli security forces, and 4 incidents (all related to the Arab rioting that sparked the Guardian of the Walls Operation) in which it could not be conclusively established.whether the IDF or Israeli civilians had fired the fatal shot.

Take the year 2024 for example:

OCHA records five Palestinian fatalities. What they don't tell you is that all 5 were killed by Israeli security forces, not by "settlers".

For additional context, over the comparable period, Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria killed in Arab terror attacks amounted to 12.18 per 100,000, compared with 0.04 Arab fatalities per 100,000 - INCLUDING those killed while carrying out attacks and those killed by the IDF.

So Secretary-General Guterres, President Macron, and everyone citing these figures:

À la tribune de l’ONU, le locataire de l’Élysée a déclaré que le Hamas « n’a jamais sévi en Cisjordanie ».

J’ai entendu, j’ai relu, j’ai voulu croire à une maladresse et ce n’en était pas une. C’est une abjection, une phrase qui efface des morts, qui protège un mensonge, et qui le fait au nom de la France.

Mon père ne m’a pas élevé pour baisser les yeux. Il m’a dit, encore et encore : dénonce les abjections.

Papa, je le fais aujourd’hui pour toi, mais pas seulement pour toi, pour ma fille, pour qu’elle sache un jour que son père n’a pas été lâche.

Pour moi, pour ce que je ressens et que je refuse d’étouffer par peur du qu’en-dira-t-on.
Ce monsieur ne parle pas en mon nom, ni au nom de nombreux Français qui ont encore une mémoire, une conscience, et le courage de distinguer un peuple qui se défend d’une organisation terroriste qui assassine.

Le Hamas a sévi en Cisjordanie. Il y a eu des cellules, des réseaux, des attentats, des enlèvements et des meurtres.
Il y a quelques jours encore, un terroriste du Hamas a assassiné Netanel Shukrun, père de six enfants, citoyen français, alors qu’il se trouvait avec ses fils près d’une source, à la veille de Yom Kippour. Avant son dernier souffle, il a dit à son fils de courir. Voilà la vérité.

La nier depuis la plus haute tribune du monde, c’est cracher sur une famille, sur un pays, sur le sang.

Rien n’autorise ce mensonge éhonté.
Rien n’autorise à transformer Israël en accusé permanent et le Hamas en détail gênant dès qu’il sort de Gaza.

Victor Davis Hanson is not Jewish. He is a renowned American classicist, military historian, author, and senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution - making his fact-based defense of Israel all the more significant.

In one of his recent interviews, Hanson gave a fascinating analysis of four accusations repeatedly made against Israel - apartheid, settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, and genocide.

His conclusion was clear: These slogans collapse when confronted with historical facts.

Apartheid?

Approximately two million Arab citizens live in Israel with the right to vote, serve in parliament, study at universities, practice their religion, and participate throughout Israeli society.

Meanwhile, many of the countries accusing Israel of apartheid officially privilege Islam and severely restrict religious conversion, minority communities, and basic freedoms.

Settler colonialism?

The Jewish connection to the land of Israel is supported by nearly 4,000 years of historical, archaeological, linguistic, and biblical evidence.

The Jewish people did not arrive in their ancestral homeland as foreign colonizers. They returned to the land from which foreign empires had repeatedly expelled them.

Meanwhile, Arab armies conquered enormous portions of the Middle East and North Africa. The Ottoman conquest transformed Hagia Sophia - once the greatest church in Christendom - into a mosque. Yet those historical conquests are rarely described as settler colonialism.

Ethnic cleansing?

Where were the demonstrations when Turkey expelled Greeks from northern Cyprus and moved Turkish settlers into the occupied territory?

Where was the outrage when Azerbaijan drove more than 100,000 Armenians from their ancestral homes in Nagorno-Karabakh?

Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Zohran Mamdani were remarkably quiet.

Genocide?

When Israel was established, approximately 170,000 Arabs remained within the country. Today, around two million Arab citizens live in Israel, and the Arab share of its population has increased rather than disappeared.

Genocidal regimes do not cause the population they supposedly seek to eliminate to grow dramatically in both number and proportion.

As Hanson explained, many of those accusing Israel are projecting the sins of their own nations, movements, and histories onto one tiny, democratic Jewish state.

Why is Israel judged by a standard applied to no other nation?

The answer is becoming painfully clear - because Israel is predominantly Jewish.

Accusations may travel quickly, but historical facts still matter.
