@roathboy Agreed, but also a manager who is pragmatic enough to play to their strengths. International management is about finding a style and formation that suits the best XI available for each game and opponent. Anything other than that, is navel gazing.
@umbertoechoes@Peety_Editor@bigboywullied@FIFAWorldCup I had MotD in mind tbh, analysis is pretty poor, as there is a quick turnaround after the games. Plenty of football (and boxing) podcasts have much better conversation/analysis.
@Peety_Editor@bigboywullied@FIFAWorldCup Let’s be honest, the conversation most of the time is guff 😂 totally agree about the kick off times, it’s seems a lot of the post midnight games have been pretty good. For me the fans have made it more authentic than Qatar. Can we agree that tomorrow it’s Viva Mexico?!
@henrysaye@linmeitalks Ridiculous statements from Lowe. I saw his long list of policies the other day, no costings at all.
He is taking votes from Nige and co though, so not all bad news atm.
@henrysaye@linmeitalks Remember when Corbyn was crucified for putting free Broadband in the manifesto? I’d love to see the man who oversaw taking Soton into administration make the sums add up….
@henrysaye I honestly think he needs a drop down to the Championship to rediscover confidence and form like Dan James did. Current Brennan barely impacts a game. We need him to justify his position not just picking him for the sake of it and hoping he does something.
@PaulAbbandonato@FAWales Brennan should be nowhere near the first XI. He’s had about 1 good game in 2/3 years. On his current trajectory he’ll be back in the Championship soon. Can’t agree that the Colwills should start, but they definitely should have got mins in these games. So frustrating.
@AndyWillMeow@Jayfuz@NoelMooney13 I don’t think it would have sold out if we had qualified, people are used to competitive games. Possibly would have been away anyway.
I’m sure if Eng had a midweek friendly after not qualifying for this WC it would not have sold out, unless there was a very cheap family offer.
@henrysaye As long as he’s not going to try Turnbull there again 💀 I suspect he thinks King is good enough cover while bringing someone in to start, so Wintle was going to become an expensive sub. Timing is unlucky for Wintle, he may be Champ class, but BBM didn’t like the risk/reward.
@VFTNinian Does this mean BBM thinks King is good enough to be back up to a new signing and therefore Wintle wasn’t required? If so, it’s probably a good thing, if not we need 2 new signings….
@BluebirdsPast The only blemish on BBM’s scorecard is his continuation to pick him when it’s clear he’s not good enough. He will get seriously found out (again) back in the Champ if he plays.
