The pap smear is one of the most common procedures to screen precancerous or cancerous cells in the #cervix.

There is a need to raise awareness on what the #papsmear is, why is it important, how much it costs, when should it be done and where can it be performed in the #DRC.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is an extremely common virus transmitted through sexual contact.

Since the #HPV vaccine is effective against #cervicalcancer, it should be included in the national vaccination schedule of #DRC.

#Cervicalcancer is the most common cancer among women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Without a national cervical cancer screening program, there is much to be done to ensure women in the #DRC receive proper cancer treatment and supportive care.
