As they entered the forbidden temple, the knights were struck by its eerie and foreboding atmosphere.

In the center of the last chamber stood a towering statue of a forgotten god, its twisted form radiating malevolent energy that sent shivers down the knights' spines.

Reports have shown that people who have strong spiritual beliefs can be used as conduits for entities beyond our realm.

In some cases, full manifestation of the entity can occur, warping reality as the entity is born from the flesh of their devote follower, devouring them whole.

As a child, my family always told me to never go near the shed that was out in the field.

I've always heard strange noises coming from the shed growing up, but fear always kept me at bay. I always wondered what was in that shed... that was until I found this picture in our attic

The Cult of the Veiled Elders endures the harsh winter to perform their heinous rituals.

They donned their blood-soaked robes and draped their sacred veil upon their dead god, sacrificing the prisoners they had brought. All in hopes one day he’ll awaken from his eternal slumber

I’ve been having a recurring nightmare of being chased down endless corridors by a creature born from the black abyss within a dilapidated house.

Every night, I manage to wake up before being caught, but every day, that hideous fiend gets faster and faster, closing the gap on me

Nothing could have prepared Dr. Patel for what she found buried deep in the jungles of South America.

It was a temple with massive stone pillars and carvings of strange, twisted creatures adorning its walls, proof of a lost civilization and the gods that once ruled over man.

As the ritual was underway, the enigmatic cult leader's body began to transform into something truly abdominal, twisted by the corruption of the Great Old One.

At the height of the ritual, his head burst into flames, signally the full resurrection of his dreadful lord and master

We couldn't stop Thomas from ascending those dreadful steps. No matter how hard we pulled and called out to him, he continued to climb unwavering.

We could only stare in horror as he offered his body to that blasphemous creature who had been tormenting his mind all his life.

@VagrancyThe A group of true believers I see!

[Eldritch Cult @EldritchCult]

"The land shall be purified by our falling star"

[Eldritch Cult @EldritchCult]

@ToriRWeed A little bit of both, it is an interesting exercise to insert good/bad qualities of yourself into your characters!

It allows you to be introspective about yourself and usually leads to a more flesh out character in the end.

Deep within the old catacombs lies death incarnate.

Woe is those who dare enter it’s lair, for if it finds them, their flesh shall be stripped clean and their bones assimilated into it’s being for all eternity.
