A staggering $1.7 billion loss at GoldBod in 2025 alone—money that could have been invested in critical areas of Ghana’s development.

Think about what $1.7 billion could do for our country. It could help pay teachers and nurses, accelerate the completion of the Accra–Kumasi Road, support the completion of Agenda 111 hospitals, and fund other essential infrastructure and public services that Ghanaians desperately need.

A loss of this magnitude represents a serious financial cost to the state and cannot simply be brushed aside. Ghanaians deserve accountability where wrongdoing, negligence, or mismanagement is established.

What are my “partisan views”?

1. There are some folk in the NPP who are unable to separate my views of Akufo-Addo and Godfred Dame from the rest of their party. I think Nana Addo was the worst president of the 4th Republic and I make no apologies for that.

2. In fact, I am not isolated in that view. Even many core NPP members believe same.

3. Yet, As a school boy, I was a sympathiser of the JH Mensah led NPP opposition during the Rawlings years due mainly to the liberal values of open democracy they then preached. By 1999 however I had finally settled for the Reform Party led by Goosie Tanoh, which I identified with more politically in terms of its social programme and clearer vision for Ghana.

4. Sometime from 2004 when I left Ghana for school however. I became largely disinterested and disillusioned by the politics of the 4th Republic.

5. When I returned to Ghana in 2010; I was no longer a school boy. And I had become less focused on political parties as a way to achieve social justice. Still I felt more comfortable with the CPP, and I attended a lot of their youth meetings.

6. I have many CPP friends who in the Youth League can testify to this.

7. I have become intellectually more to the progressive left. And I have taken it as my personal invitation to hold our politics more accountable to working class people; and more committed to solving the artificial problem of poverty in our lifetime.

8. That view has no natural home in any political party. It is a view that transcends the political system ideologically. And I bear no animosity for the NPP or any other party for that matter. I just want your politics to reflect more my values.

9. I bear extreme animosity for corruption however. I don’t care if you are Jesus, if you dip your hand in the public jar, that hand must be cut off. So I support ORAL as fervently as I supported Kuffour’s zero tolerance for corruption. The latter did not succeed, so I want ORAL to succeed. This is also why I support the AFRC over the PNDC. They were focused more on corruption than the latter.

10. Anyway, Someday, I may run for Office. I haven’t decided yet. Mainly because I also want to be Chief Justice in my lifetime; and I do not want elected office to disqualify me. But if I was to ever do so, I may do so as an independent or as a member of a political party. I haven’t decided yet.

11. But I can promise you that, when I do so, Ghana will always be my focus! And corruption will be my persistent public enemy number 1.

Nana Yaa Jantuah is 59 years old, yet she refers to Akufo-Addo who is 82 and old enough to be her father as an “error” and a “mistake.” When she made those remarks, did she stop to consider that Akufo-Addo also serves a living God? The law of karma works in mysterious ways.

When Ralph and Amaru staged their pointless demonstration, the government had no special event underway and everyone was at their posts yet they still dispatched Nana Yaa Jantuah to receive the petition because they recognized how useless it was. Now that the entire NPP and its leadership have organized a serious demonstration, you send the same woman to collect the petition do you guys think we are joking in this country ?
