@MelissaLMRogers While we are looking to find new and future markets, this couldnโt be more stupid. Just give the world to China and Russia at this point. Foreign aid matters beyond altruism.
@Shelleybe3@PiperGrey3@Angry_Staffer You have been extracting your own oil for years. There isnโt enough. Thatโs why you import ours. You also import potash (google it) and our electricityโฆ..just to name a few. It will be years before the US is able to replace imports with their own manufactured products. If ever.
@Shelleybe3@PiperGrey3@Angry_Staffer Where is elsewhere? There is currently no elsewhere for many products. Or are you happy to import dictator oil from Russia and pay more for it? Legit question, where do you think other goods are going to come from? And if they cost more, can everyone absorb that cost?
@Shelleybe3@PiperGrey3@Angry_Staffer And how will you produce your own goods? You can restructure your economy to bring on manufacturing, it that takes strategy, economic policy, and time. Strategy and Trump donโt seem to be a thing.
@DBCooperTX@Angry_Staffer You canโt change your economy on a dime. It takes planning and strategy. The US canโt replace what they import from any country in a day. If Trump wants more manufacturers in the US, he has to undertake economic planning, not drop an anvil on the economy.
@Angry_Staffer@DBCooperTX Canada gained something. The knowledge that we have to find new trading partners and that our once greatest neighbor and friend can no longer be trusted. We didnโt want it this way, but here we are.
@Goldwater4Pres @TuckerCNews Vance sent that meeting into a tail spin, insulting the man leading a tiny country that is holding Russia back from further expansion into Europe and beyond. This isnโt just the Ukraineโs war, they are just the front line. Why is that so hard to grasp?
