I've been watching too many people try to dunk on Poilievre on this issue.
Look into the deals Norway, Iceland and Switzerland have with the EU. Closest thing to "associate membership."
And they pay into EU programs, through their national governments, but have no say, no vote.

Today's announcement on LNG Phase II is long-delayed good news. But this project got its permit a decade ago, because of the Harper government. Bad Liberal policies delayed its construction, which has still not begun.

Over the same period, the U.S. built, not announced but built, 9 LNG terminals. Germany built an LNG import terminal in 194 days.

Instead of taking credit for work done by others long ago, Carney should explain why it took him so long to do so little.
