As health care professionals, we must always use language appropriate to patients level of understanding, ensuring they understand the implications of and treatment and can consent. #NRS404#PUNC18
This session was so enjoyable. We've all learnt so much and are very excited for the future of digital nursing and how it will support our learning journey and enhance patient experience. #PUNC18@WeLearnOutLoud
https://t.co/om2JxHznHB spoke of the research based on introducing palliative care into the rehabilitation process post stroke. Looking into the benefits of emotional and psychological support, alongside the physical rehabilitation. #PUNC18
https://t.co/AQJuqPhfrQ It's so exciting seeing the future of e-health! I love the idea of booking appointments on an app and people having easy access to their medical history. This will really promote patients being involved and in touch with their health. #PUNC18
The number of fitness to practice cases related to unprofessional Facebook use is alarming. But it shouldn't scare us, its just another reminder of why we need to watch what we post, like, share and comment on when using social media #PUNC18
@rjonesplymouth @WeLearnOutLoud Absolutely! I think it won't be a problem for too long, hopefully, more people seem to understand not to believe everything they read! #PUNC18
@WeLearnOutLoud I think a huge part of using social media, is the potential to reach out to people less mobile. for example, if there were online GP appointments, an online session would be so accessible to everyone. #punc18
The patients can read our experiences and the information we are sharing, this will hopefully be comforting to them, knowing that we are getting information from other nurses and constantly learning, even outside of work and once we have left university! #PUNC18
There are so many benefits to nurses engaging in social media, but I think a great one is to spread the joys of nursing and the amazing research we are learning about! Showing our patients we care outside of work and that we know our stuff! #PUNC18
Day 9, the article by Ferguson, C. (2013), In the example of a nurse pulling out a, potentially outdated, book by the bedside to look up information. This really made me aware of how useful the internet can be as it is easy to use and information is easily updated. #PUNC18
