A crazed woman attempted to use an amplified sound device directly in my ear after I asked her husband why he is protesting Independence Day in America while being a British national. The police, ironically, the “first amendment communication team” then responded by telling me I had to leave and that I could not interact with the group.

Then, a protest organizer approached and harassed my cameraman in an attempt to stop us from videotaping the event. The police said he was doing nothing wrong.

This disabled American veteran closed his Citibank account voluntarily to move his money to a more veteran-friendly financial institution according to his wife (@isabellebrown on TT). After the account was closed, a disability payment from the federal government posted and Citibank won’t release the funds.

The person on the phone is 4 supervisors deep in the compliance department and admits that they know it is against the law to withhold the funds because they are protected but finally states that the bank is making them do it. Is this really how Citibank treats American veterans? It sounds like the family is prepared to do whatever it takes as this is their only source of income.

I was born and raised in Canada. Most of my remaining family live there. I have friends in both sides of the border. I am married to an American and live in the US.
I am absolutely horrified at the change in Canadian behaviour. Booing at games to my friends who live in Guelph who refuse to visit me in the states because of what the President said about becoming the 51st state. While it is absolutely their decision to visit or not visit . I had no idea that I was responsible for leaders comments. The Derangement is real these people won’t even fly over the states to take a vacation in Mexico. Further to that they prefer to go to Cuba. When I queried them about their choice to support a toxic communist regime in Cuba rather than visiting the states. Their reply was well Cuba isn’t so bad no Cuban has complained to us. I guess ignoring the well documented violations of suffering for dissenters doesn’t count.
For decades, Canadian anti-Americanism was relatively quiet, polite, and rooted in a smug sense of moral superiority, the classic "we are nicer, gentler, and have healthcare" trope. Today, that thin veneer of politeness has completely shattered. The irony is staggering..in their obsession with criticizing American polarization, many Canadians have adopted the exact same aggressive, hostile, and rude behaviors they claim to despise. 

The Evolution of the Anti-American Myth
Historically, Canadian identity was practically defined by not being American. Because Canada lacks a singular, loud cultural identity like the U.S., it historically relied on defining itself in opposition to its neighbor. 
The Old Way: It used to be passive-aggressive. A Canadian might roll their eyes at American politics or gun culture, but they maintained a polite distance. 
The New Way: It is loud, aggressive, and highly performative. From screaming at people on social media to launching aggressive consumer boycotts and vandalizing property with political graffiti, the "polite Canadian" stereotype is dead in these circles.

Becoming What They Criticize
The great irony is that the Canadians who claim to hate American culture are completely consumed by it. They have imported American-style political polarization hook, line, and sinker:
Imported Outrage: Activists are treating U.S. political figures with a level of personal, visceral hatred that used to be completely foreign to Canadian culture.
The Rudeness Paradox: To prove how "tolerant" or "progressive" they are compared to Americans, many protesters have become viciously intolerant of anyone within their own borders who disagrees with them. The public discourse on Parliament Hill or online is now filled with the exact same toxic rhetoric found in U.S. political fights.
Weaponizing Kindness: "Canadian politeness" was turned into a weapon. It is no longer about genuine kindness; it is used as a tool for virtue signaling, allowing people to act incredibly rude while believing they hold the moral high ground. 
What has happened to Canadians? My countrymen and women.
Why are you allowing criminal to be bailed out and police chiefs encouraging people to leave their car keys at the door in case of break ins? Why does the country of my birth my home town look like India? Why are they shitting on the beaches of grand bend when I go home?

In Milan, Italy a Gambian migrant walked up to a man he had never met and stabbed him 20 times.

The man was simply having a coffee with his friends. Miraculously, he survived.

When the police stopped the Gambian his answer was: “I had fun. As soon as I get out, I’ll do it again.”
