On July 4th, I'm thankful for freedom

Freedom for women to keep reproductive decisions between themselves and their doctors

Freedom for people from around the world to immigrate to America without being referred to as “rapists” and “criminals”

Freedom from a government-sponsored Christian theocracy, including bibles being mandated in public schools

Freedom to vote without unnecessary restrictions

Freedom from another multi-trillion-dollar tax cut for the rich (including me)

Freedom from the Trump crime wave, which has thankfully dropped dramatically during the Biden administration

Freedom for every American to have health care

Freedom for the LGBTQ+ community to exist and thrive without being harassed

Freedom for books to not be banned in public libraries

Freedom for the IRS to be funded to pursue tax cheats

Freedom to not have a convicted felon as President

Freedom for public schools to be funded, not plundered by private charter schools

Freedom for the homeless to avoid jail for simply being impoverished

Freedom for children to have free public school lunches

Freedom from white supremacy

Freedom from gun violence

Freedom from a corrupt Supreme Court

This is why I will be proudly voting for a Democratic administration
