and I think we have to be careful when we say things like it's a calling, or I didn't get into it for the money, because the public hears " I am fine being underpaid or willing to make less" and the truth is that every educator in every role deserves more pay.
@DavidEnard As a chemistry teacher I constantly spiral back in previous content that is connected to current topic. When I taught ochem I did the same thing. E.g. electronegativity is rarely mentioned let alone stressed as to why atoms are doing what they do in rxn.
@DavidEnard Most profs have very little pedagogy training and some don’t care to. My 1st ochem professor while getting my chem undergrad read from the book and rarely explained anything.
