Our study on @ARD_BMJ indicates that sarilumab is safe and effective in #COVID19 patients with a low percentage of consolidation at CT scan and suggests that quantification of lung consolidation is important in future trials with immunosuppressant drugs.
#COVID19FOAM
We investigated Sarilumab in patients with severe #COVID19 pneumonia and hyperinflammation (those with dismal prognosis). IL−6 blockade represents a promising therapeutic target for these patients.

2/ Among invasively ventilated #COVID19 patients, AKI is very common (3 out of 4 patients) and CRRT use is common (1 in 6) and both carry a high risk of in-hospital mortality.
#FOAMcc
Among 99 invasively ventilated #COVID19 pts in our hospital, 75% developed acute kidney injury (46% stage 1, 21% stage 2, 33% stage 3) and 18% received CRRT.
Patients with AKI had a mortality of ~40% and patients treated with CRRT >50%
