Today, the @EUCouncil and @Europarl_EN reached a provisional agreement to boost the EU's defence industry and readiness. 🛡️

The new set of laws, constituting the Omnibus V package, aim to:
👉 simplify security and defence procurement
👉 facilitate defence investments
👉 support the defence industry
👉 remove administrative delays

IMCO MEPs expressed worries that too many non-compliant and counterfeit products continue to resurface, despite reassurances.

Even with inspection and testing measures applied by the company, MEPs noted that breaches of EU safety requirements are systematically detected.
