The Women in Science Policy Network (WISP) will be holding their second event at the upcoming @sti2023 conference in @cwtsleiden Leiden https://t.co/dM4cmujRbz
Grateful for the opportunity to share the equity research of the National Network for Critical Technology Assessment with @housescience@WHOSTP@NSF. Great discussions on who participates in and benefits from science and what we can do as a Nation to address disparities.

Важливий препринт від @EleoDag для тих, хто хотів дізнатися більше про #ISBN, але не мав до кого звернутися! У роботі представлено огляд як ISBN Manual та the Global Register of Publishers можна використати для визначення жанру та видавця книг 💡: https://t.co/oscBFMjYy2
Dear all. I am going to need some help here. Some SERIOUS retweeting effort. Apparently twitter deprioritises tweets from those who don’t have Blue subscription. God knows I tried to buy it, but couldn’t due to an unknown technical error. Now I am banned from from trying again 😅
I never thought that the day would arrive that this would happen.
Twitter has just suspended the journal Scientific Reports for impersonating the journal Nature.
In September next year @cwtsleiden will organize the STI ENID 2023 conference in Leiden; this will be a hybrid event; we look forward to welcoming both virtual and on-site participants!
It's been a great honor for me to be the first Editor-in-Chief of @QSS_ISSI; having served as Editor-in-Chief for 8 years, first at Journal of Informetrics and then at QSS, I'm going to look for new challenges; I look forward to transferring responsibility for QSS to a new team!
Congratulations to @elife on their announcement of a new editorial process centered on preprints and preprint review. Here’s why we think it’s groundbreaking. 🧵

Many important critical remarks by @tonyR_H on problems of APCs and predatory publishing and downsides of transformative agreements with large publishers; agree with Tony we need to move past the journal; this is the most promising way to address these problems @ScienceEurope
I've just learned that an institution that's listed in the @DORAssessment repository of research assessment reform resources for doing some really innovative stuff ALSO pays their departments a bonus for publishing in high impact factor journals. And now I feel a bit punch-drunk.
"Two supporters of More Than Our Rank are even university rankers themselves. These are @cwtsleiden — home of the Leiden Ranking ... — and @UMultirank, an EU-funded initiative that aims to provide access to a broader range of institutional data than traditional rankings"
The art of marketing Swedish-style. How to support the Forces of Good in war and promote the name of your king.
🇺🇦🤝🇸🇪
Don't stop, dear Swedes. Ukraine still needs your support.
Several studies on gender bias in science appeared recently. One study found that “men had about 14,000 more lifetime citations than women” and another that “women were 15 times more likely to be accepted into NAS”. https://t.co/2scChPS4ff
They cannot both be gender biases.🧵
