Bottom line from Nebraska survey, “findings remarkable.” Commitment to #childcare is overwhelming, recognize problem is getting worse, and understand that it is necessary to address it for the sake of economy and families. @WeCareforKidsNE
Nebraska voters view the lack of quality, affordable #childcare as a serious problem , on par with crime. Cost for families, balancing work and family, and wages for #earlyed teachers also viewed as serious problems. #solvechildcare@WeCareforKidsNE
In today’s tele-townhall @FirstFiveNebr Mike Feeken underscores the reasons everyone is impacted by the lack of quality, affordable #childcare. “Everyone depends on someone that depends on childcare.” #solvechildcare@WeCareforKidsNE
On today’s tele-town hall, @NebraskaEarly Chief HR Officer, Dulce Sherman, highlights NECC licensing toolkit to help more #childcare providers to get into the business and get licensed. An amazing resource available at no cost to providers, helping to improve access to care.
According to Claire Brown, The Well-being Partners, the lack of quality, affordable #childcare isn’t just keeping parents out of the workforce, causes them a great deal of stress. It’s time to fix childcare for Nebraska families. #solvechildcare@WeCareforKidsNE@FirstFiveNebr
According to Luke Virgil from Wayne Area #ecodevo, people who want to work can’t because they can’t find quality, affordable #childcare. It’s clear childcare is an economic driver and part of the solution to getting more Nebraskans back to work. @WeCareforKidsNE@FirstFiveNebr
Listening to a preview of findings of statewide survey on today’s tele-town hall. Support among Nebraskans for prioritizing access to quality, affordable #childcare is overwhelming.

I could quibble with some of the specific policy approaches (I still don't like separation of "child care" and "pre-k"), but that's not the point here: the point is that every family should have access to quality child care, and that requires robust and permanent public funding.
