Thank you, Razorpay, for featuring me. Here's some backstory to this photo:
When I was a kid, this BSA Rambo cycle was the dream. The posters, the colours, the whole vibe. I wanted it more than anything.
My dad told me the truth. It was expensive (Rs. 2,300). And if I wanted something fancy, I had to show I could value the basics first.
So I spent two years riding this old black cycle to school. Second or third hand. Heavy. Rigid. Nothing fancy. Every day. Rain, sun, whatever. And I didn’t complain, because that was the deal.
Two years later, he kept his word. I got the Rambo.
People ask me what's our moat. Our moat is our members. The ability to curate the most ambitious folks in a room is something we've mastered for 5 years.
But ambition is not a data point, you can't filter for it.
So we took a page from meta's targeting - lookalike audiences.
We have our own version of lookalike audience - we built it not of just professional data points, it's personal, social and even criminal. All through publicly available data.
We have multiple ai agents that look at more than 83 unique publicly available data points to understand if you're a "fit" for the community.
What's interesting is that this requirement in our curation has now become a highlight for a lot of people during onboarding.
If you're curious - give it a shot

Launching the GrowthX Host Club.
Because networking is a scam.
Today, we fix it.
But before I tell you how, time to go back to 2019.
I was at Razorpay and Abhishek at CRED, we had everything - great roles, solid teams, exciting problems. But the higher we climbed, the lonelier it got. Every community was for people breaking into tech. What about those already in the arena?
We didn't want another Slack group with 50K members. We wanted eight people solving actual problems together. So we started GrowthX - weekly sessions, Harvard case-study format, real challenges.
Then something unexpected happened.
After sessions ended, people wouldn't leave. They'd stick around till midnight talking about failed products, imposter syndrome, trek plans. Bangalore members started Sunday coffees. Mumbai folks hosted home dinners. Chennai members went surfing together.
Nobody was exchanging business cards or pitching.
They were just hanging out. Like friends.
I watched two members connect over coffee and raise funding together six months later. Saw photography walks become founder support groups. Witnessed brunches become the most honest career conversations in India.
Our members were creating their own gatherings. Because once you find your people, you keep finding excuses to be around them.
That's when it hit me. The magic wasn't in structured sessions. It was creating spaces where ambitious people could be human. Where CAC conversations flow into anxiety discussions, into Goa plans, into business ideas.
Why limit this to just our members?
Enter Host Club.
500+ events in 365 days
11 Indian cities later.
Our hosts aren't running networking events. They're creating excuses for the right people to collide. Vibe-coding sessions that feel like hackathons with friends. AI discussions over burgers. Dawn runs that solve product problems.
Traditional networking is broken - sterile rooms where everyone's selling before saying hello. Host Club is different. This is what happens when you stop trying to network and start trying to know each other.
Welcome to the rebellion.
