February 1st marks the first day of Black History Month, where the achievements and history of Black Americans are celebrated. We honor and acknowledge all the contributions that members of our community and members of the department have made and continue to make.
Our hearts are broken as we mourn the line-of-duty death of our K-9 Officer Nyx, who was killed yesterday, January 28th. "K-9 Nyx paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting this community," says Chief of Police Carla Redd.
