I was pleased to receive the Senior Minister of the #Punjab Province of the Islamic Republic of #Pakistan, Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb @Marriyum_A , and the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, Mr. Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani @SMAshiqHussain . We discussed Punjab's achievements in #irrigation networks and potential cooperation in precision #agriculture, #fisheries, agricultural value chains, and joint #research.
During the discussions, we agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two ministries, establish relations between #business entities, and explore mutual #investment opportunities.

#Qarabağ və #Şərqi #Zəngəzur iqtisadi rayonlarına səfər çərçivəsində #investisiya müsabiqələrində qalib olmuş #sahibkarların və #fermerlərin sahələrini ziyarət etdik. Səfər zamanı sahibkarlar tərəfindən bərpa edilmiş və yeni salınmış meyvə bağları və heyvandarlıq kompleksi ilə tanış olduq. Görüşlər zamanı sahibkarlar tərəfindən görülmüş işlər, əldə edilmiş nailiyyətlər, habelə fəaliyyət prosesində qarşılaşılaşdıqları çətinlikləri dinlədik.
Həmçinin investisiya layihələrinin uğurla davam etdirilməsi məqsədilə nazirlik tərəfindən göstərilə biləcək dəstək mexanizmləri müzakirə edilmiş, müvafiq təkliflər verilmişdir.
Sahədə aparılan müşahidələr dövlət dəstəyinin effektivliyinin qiymətləndirilməsi, sahibkarların real ehtiyaclarının müəyyən edilməsi və kənd təsərrüfatının inkişafına töhfənin artırılması baxımından mühüm əhəmiyyət kəsb edir.

Within the framework of “Caspian Agro Week,” we held a highly productive panel discussion dedicated to the topic: “The Role of Logistics in the Interconnection of Agri-Food Systems: Routes, Corridors, and Their Security — The Path to the Prosperity of Nations.”

During our discussions, we covered a wide range of strategic issues — from the “smart” impact of digitalization on transport corridors and the investment potential of free economic zones to the innovative strength of EU-Africa partnerships. In particular, the role of universities in shaping the skills of the future emerged as a complementary link in this chain. Once again, it was emphasized that sustainable agri-food systems can only thrive on the basis of reliable corridors and strong partnerships.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our distinguished speakers — Mr. Samir Mammadov, Ed.D. -, Mr. Valeh Alasgarov, Mr. Berik Aryn , Ms. Sonia Toro , and Professor Zoltan Bujdoso — for their valuable contributions. I am also grateful to the organizers of “Caspian Agro Week” for providing this platform, as well as to all members of the audience.

The prosperity of nations depends on the corridors that connect them, and today’s discussions once again demonstrated how much of a priority this agenda truly is.

It was an honor to address the Ministerial Conference on Contemporary Agricultural Cooperation as a Foundation of Sustainable Development and Guarantor for Food Security with my esteemed colleagues.
The participation of Ministers of Agriculture (#Türkiye, #Uzbekistan, #Georgia) of #MiddleCorridor countries made this dialogue especially significant, due to shared economic and geographic realities demand a joint approach to #foodsecurity and agricultural development.
Today, the #sustainability of #agriculture is crucial not only for food security but also for rural livelihoods and balanced regional development. The experience of Azerbaijan’s agriculture system demonstrates that while the challenges we face are significant, they also create opportunities for transformation. By investing in #innovation, #sustainability, and cooperation, we can build agri-food systems that are not only resilient to shocks but also capable of driving long-term development.
Strengthening food security in the face of climate, economic, and security pressures requires deeper regional cooperation, shared knowledge, and coordinated action.

Our next bilateral meeting took place within the framework of the #CaspianAgroWeek with a delegation led by Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, the Republic of #Uzbekistan's Minister of Agriculture. During the discussion, we discussed the progress made on the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan "Friendship Garden" project in the Fuzuli region, the expansion of current cooperation, and the introduction of new partnership.
Within the framework of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Agrarian Insurance Fund and the Agricultural Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, which envisages the application of Azerbaijan's experience in the field of #agrarian #insurance in Uzbekistan.
I believe that the joint projects currently being implemented in the field of #agriculture with the Republic of Uzbekistan will serve not only as an example of bilateral cooperation but also as a guiding model for other countries.

#CaspianAgroWeek çərçivəsində növbəti ikitərəfli görüşümüz #Özbəkistan Respublikasının kənd təsərrüfatı naziri İbrokhim Abdurakhmonovun rəhbərlik etdiyi nümayəndə heyəti ilə baş tutdu. Görüş zamanı Füzuli rayonunda salınacaq Özbəkistan-Azərbaycan “Dostluq bağı”ında görülmüş işlər, mövcud əməkdaşlıqların yeni müstəviyə çıxarılması və yeni istiqamətlərdə əməkdaşlıqların qurulması mövzusunda müzakirələr apardıq.
Görüş çərçivəsində Aqrar Sığorta Fondu ilə Özbəkistan Kənd Təsərrüfatı Nazirliyi yanında Kənd Təsərrüfatı Sığortası Fondu arasında Azərbaycanın #aqrar #sığorta sahəsindəki təcrübəsinin Özbəkistanda tətbiqini nəzərdə tutan əməkdaşlıq haqqında saziş imzalandı.
İnanıram ki, Özbəkistan Respublikası ilə #kəndtəsərrüfatı sahəsində hazırda həyata keçirilən birgə layihələr təkcə ikitərəfli əməkdaşlığın nümunəsi kimi deyil, eyni zamanda digər ölkələr üçün də istiqamətləndirici model rolunu oynayacaqdır.

The exhibition will enhance cooperation between our countries, foster entrepreneurial relations, diversify #trade in agricultural products, and uncover new #investment opportunities.
We agreed to expand cooperation between entrepreneurs in the field of #winemaking, promote participation in mutual festivals and exhibitions, share Azerbaijan's #greenhouse experience with Georgia, and collaborate with international organizations to combat transboundary animal and plant diseases.

The Declaration of Intent signed between the Ministries of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and Latvia marks a significant step toward a more integrated and innovative agricultural partnership. I believe that the signed #Declaration of #Intent on Cooperation in the field of #agriculture between The Ministry of the Agriculture of Azerbaijan and The Ministry of Agriculture of #Latvia will be a significant milestone in the bilateral relations.

The Declaration is expected to expand cooperation in the field of #foodsecurity, #agricultural trade, #R&D, human resources development, #animal breeding, and other mutually agreed areas.

The declaration laid a solid foundation for a lasting and productive partnership in future cooperation.

Görüş zamanı aqrar sahəyə dövlət dəstəyi tədbirləri, təsərrüfatların su ilə təminatında yaranan çətinliklərin aradan qaldırılması imkanları və müasir suvarma sistemlərinin tətbiqi, EKTİS tətbiqinin istifadəsinin genişləndirilməsi məsələlərini müzakirə etdik.

Səfər çərçivəsində Naxçıvan Kənd Təsərrüfatı Nazirliyinin kollektivi ilə keçirilən görüş zamanı EKTİS-ə keçid prosesinin sürətləndirilməsi, #aqrar sahədə #kooperativlərin, ailə kəndli təsərrüfatlarının yaradılması, yerli #toxumçuluğun inkişaf etdirilməsi, heyvan sağlamlığı və #baytarlıq xidmətlərinin keyfiyyətinin yaxşılaşdırılması, rayon və kəndlər üzrə əkinlər üçün #su tələbatının müəyyənləşdirilməsi istiqamətində tapşırıqlarımızı verdik.

#Özbəkistan Respublikasının Kənd Təsərrüfatı Nazirliyi ilə keçirilmiş ikitərəfli görüş çərçivəsində mövcud əməkdaşlığın cari vəziyyəti və Dostluq bağında həyata keçirilmiş işlər ətrafında müzakirə apardıq.

Görüş zamanı Azərbaycan və Özbəkistanın digər ölkələrə birgə #ixrac imkanları, #aqrarsığota sahəsində azərbaycanlı mütəxəssislərin Özbəkistana dəstək göstərilməsi məsələləri müzakirə edildi.

Tədbir çərçivəsində Azərbaycan Respublikası Kənd Təsərrüfatı Nazirliyinin Aqrar Tədqiqatlar Mərkəzi ilə Özbəkistanın Aqrar Elm və İnnovasiya Mərkəzi arasında anlaşma memorandumu imzalandı. İmzalanmış sənədin ölkələr arasında aqrar tədqiqat sahəsində əməkdaşlığın daha da genişlənməsinə və dərinləşməsinə mühüm töhfə verəcəyinə inanırıq.

During the bilateral meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of #Uzbekistan, we discussed the current state of existing cooperation and the work carried out in the Friendship Garden.

During the meeting, we discussed joint export opportunities for Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to other countries, as well as support of Azerbaijani specialists in agricultural insurance to Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (#MoU)was signed between the Agrarian Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Agrarian Science and Innovation Center of Uzbekistan. We believe that the signed document will make a significant contribution to the further expansion and deepening of cooperation in the field of agricultural research between the countries.

It is a great pleasure to attend the Italy-Central Asia (C5)-Azerbaijan Forum on "#Innovation, #Regenerative Agriculture, and #Digitalization for #Sustainable Agro-Ecosystems" in #Tashkent, #Uzbekistan.

The strong political relations and economic capabilities provide a solid foundation to achieve remarkable results with these countries. Our intention is to adopt best practices from leading countries and collaborate with our international partners to integrate innovations.

The complex issues like digitalization, climate-friendly, and smart agriculture cannot be accomplished by any single country alone. Therefore, strengthening our collaboration through agricultural #diplomacy and enhanced international cooperation is of utmost importance.

Today, we were pleased to meet with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of #Latvia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Edgars Skuja. During the meeting, we exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation between our countries. We emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The discussions also covered the issues of determining future development directions in #agriculture, exchanging advanced experience, and promoting joint initiatives.

At the same time, the agenda included preparations for the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Latvia, which is scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan next month.
